An initial, very rough visualisation of the ‘five objects’ mentioned last month: 

1. Metaphysics

A (blue) sea…

…after the misty air has dissolved to revealed it.

The fundamental background of the scene. 

2. Epistemology

A (brown) boat… 

…in which the viewer floats, propels, navigates (here viewed from the outside).

A craft which explores, gaining knowledge of its surrounds. 

3. Ethics 

A (green) tree…

 …emerging from the sea, with growing branches. 

4. Politics

A (yellow) pulley system… 

…(in the tree) with which the boat can be pulled up and around the tree.

5. Æsthetics 

A (reddish) fruit…

…fruit of the tree, potentially delicious nutriment.
